Every year, well-intentioned capital gets poured into organizations that aren't equipped to use it — not because the money is wrong, but because it's the wrong kind of support for where that organization actually stands.

A young nonprofit that lacks basic governance structures doesn't need a check as much as it needs someone to help it build the systems to spend that check responsibly. A more mature organization that already has strong internal processes doesn't need oversight — it needs a partner to help plan its next stage of growth. Treating both the same way is one of the most common reasons corporate and philanthropic capital ends up wasted.

Two kinds of need, two kinds of support

At Pazsos International, we start from that distinction. Rather than offering every partner the same package, we work across two separate lines of support, each built around a different stage of organizational readiness. That model is currently active with six partner organizations.

Both lines of support are aimed at the same outcome: organizations that can stand on their own, long after our involvement ends. That's the difference between aid that creates dependency and support that builds permanent local autonomy.
