Fundación Leche y Miel is changing this in Tarija. It isn't a one-person project — it's a formal organization, governed by an Asamblea General and a volunteer Board (Directorio Ad Honorem), with an operating team led by Executive Director Ximena Arce de Landriel and Project Coordinator Malbina Coca Guerrero, supported by volunteer doctors, psychologists and educators. That structure already runs four active programs across the city. What the organization needs to reach more children, more families and more women is the operational backing to grow sustainably. Child education is only one of four programs
The organization doesn't stop at the classroom. Its four programs address the whole web of vulnerability a family in Tarija can face — from the household to the courtroom to the mind.
Child Vulnerability & Education
STEAM classrooms — robotics, Arduino, Lego Education, tablets — for children in Tarija's periphery and rural areas.
Incarcerated Adolescents
Restoration and mentorship for young men at the Oasis detention center, using tools like chess for counseling and purpose-building.
Incarcerated Women
Discipleship, emotional resilience, financial training and self-employment workshops for women at the Morros Blancos penitentiary.
Youth Mental Health & Suicide Prevention
Preventive workshops in schools and continuous therapeutic care, in response to Tarija's high rate of youth suicide ideation.
A model that pays for itself
One of the clearest examples of the organization's design: in the city, families pay to enroll their kids in STEAM workshops —
That payment funds the exact same kits for kids in Tarija's rural communities, who could never otherwise afford them. It's not charity as a one-way transaction — it's a self-sustaining loop built by the organization's team, and it's exactly the kind of system Pazsos International exists to strengthen and scale.
