The fight for diversity and inclusion begins at home
The Transnational Laboratory for Sustainable Peace (PAZSOS), or “Sustainable Peace”, joined rencently the “50-30 Challenge: Your Diversity Advantage”. Organized by the Government of Canada, business and diversity organizations, this initiative seeks to improve the access for racialized persons, people who identify as LGBTQ2, people living with disabilities, as well as First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, to positions of influence and leadership on corporate boards and in senior management.
In this context, we aspire to achieve: (a) gender parity (50 %) in our Board of Directors (BOD) and in our Executive Committee (EXCO); (b) significant representation (30 %) of diversity groups in our BOD and EXCO.
We are a non-profit, non-governmental, independent, and multidisciplinary organisation based in Montreal, Canada, that works on issues related to peace and violence. We work for individual and collective empowerment regardless of one’s religion, ethnicity, gender identity, age, or place of residence, in order to reinforce each individual’s ability to act for a positive change in their immediate surroundings.
